About

I’ve been a journalist for 20 years and have lived in Yakima since 2007. After spending seven years writing sports in Hood River and Roseburg, Oregon, I worked as a news copy editor at the Yakima Herald-Republic until 2016. That brought me to the Yakima Valley Business Times, where I was the managing editor for about three years. I joined the Public Affairs team at Central Washington University in 2019, and it’s been a great move for me.

I also write sports and community news for the Selah and Toppenish monthly newspapers, plus agriculture stories for the Capital Press. When I’m not writing, editing and taking pictures, I’m usually playing with my kids or officiating a basketball or soccer game somewhere in the Valley.
