About

My family: Wife Marcie, daughters Lenora (12) and Mollie (8) and our dog, Olive, when we adopted her in January 2020. She’s not so small anymore.

I’ve been a journalist for nearly 20 years and have lived in Yakima since 2007. After spending seven years writing sports in Hood River and Roseburg, Oregon, I worked as a copy editor at the Yakima Herald-Republic for nearly nine years. I moved over to the Yakima Valley Business Times in 2016 and was the managing editor there until July 2019, when I joined the Public Affairs team at Central Washington University.

I also write sports and community news for the Selah and Toppenish monthly newspapers, plus agriculture stories for The Capital Press. When I’m not writing, editing and taking pictures, I’m usually playing with my kids or officiating a basketball or soccer game somewhere in the Valley.
